Position Overview

C.A. Kaplan is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Property Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of our apartment communities, commercial properties, and common areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents, tenants, visitors, and staff. This position plays a vital role in preserving our properties and supporting tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities 

• Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, laundry rooms, community spaces, and offices.

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing thorough cleaning and turnover tasks.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.

• Clean windows, doors, mirrors, light fixtures, and other property features as assigned.

• Remove trash and debris from common areas and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.

• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, property damage, or unusual activity to management.

• Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including light outdoor cleaning and litter removal.

• Follow company policies and safety procedures while handling cleaning products and equipment.

• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with residents, tenants, vendors, and coworkers.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support property operations.

Qualificiations

• Previous cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or property maintenance experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and reaching.

• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and safety practices preferred.
